Hi All,

I'm Steve, 44 from Southern Sydney. Been a member for a couple of years but just as a lurker as the opportunity to do much woodwork hasn't been available until now because of work and life in general. I'm ok as a handyman to keep my house upright, but would love to learn some proper skills, particularly how to make furniture out of logs.
I've looked at courses in the Sydney area but they seems very general or with huge waiting lists. Can anyone recommend a course or are there mentors out there who want to pass on some hands on knowledge?

Hope too hear from you soon.
Cheers, Steve.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Steve".
There are a stack members across the Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

PS -

Keep an eye out for a get together at Katoomba for the Sydney area forum members....great way to met & make friends.
