Twice in three days I experienced the effect of gravity.

Here I am trying to repair a toilet that other people have tried to fix. The flush mechanism has been altered and one part that sits under the flush button is not located properly. As I try to insert it correctly it slips and falls straight down. :( Straight down the flush pipe out of sight. :((Would have been better if it could have landed in the loo but it couldn't. I could have taken the cistern off, but I may not have been able to reattach to wall. I spend the next fifteen minutes trying to get it out with bits of wire. At last I have success and in the end the toilet and cistern is back in operation. :U

Two days latter I am installing a cabinet on a wall. To make things easier I take out the pins from the hinges to take the door off. When it is time to refit the door I am having trouble refitting the bottom pin. The top pin I fit but fail to secure and sure enough while working on the bottom pin, gravity works on the top pin and it falls out hitting my fingers directly below. Ouch! :o

At least I have not fallen off a ladder (but did fall over at work a week earlier).

perhaps stay away from stairs, elevator lifts, cliff edges, pot holes etc etc for the near future :D

I hear tell that Gravity is a myth, the reality is that the earth sucks.

Actually nothing sucks. It is all ambient air pressure.

Falls do not hurt. Its the stop at the end that does the damage.

How true. DAMHIK. Came off a ladder two years ago. I don't remember the falling but the stop caused a broken collarbone and small bleed in the head.
