I have just started the whole woodworking journey and was intrigued by Japanese hand tools. From all the forums that I visited this one seems to have the most active sub-forum for that.
So far my total project count is two, custom pull outs for some kitchen cabinets and what I think is a really nice workbench. Luckily a good friend of mine has a full shop and years of experience that I can learn from as well.

Hoping to eventually get into joinery, furniture and milling.

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "crackerkorean".
There are quite a few members from North American and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
