:U Hi people, my names Brennan, from the Goldy where i've lived for the past 33 years.
Was in Brisbane before that for 21.
Married to a lovely lady and have 3 Kids.
I love timber.
I'm a boat builder by trade although i'm doing less of that these days as the marine industry on the Gold Coast is not as good as it was in the past.
Before that i was involved in the construction industry, house building fit out etc.
For the past couple of years now I've been doing some property maintenance and when not doing that you can find me making furniture from home
to sell online.
Ive recently invested in some more dedicated machinery and dust extraction, and am in the midst of building a more suitable home workshop as
an upgrade from the dusty old garage (although i will probably continue to make a bit of mess in there).
Im finding these forums fascinating and a wealth of knowledge, hopefully i'll be able to add some tidbits myself,
and did i mention that i love timber.
Thanks to all the contributors.:2tsup:

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Brennan",
There are a stack of members in Brisbane, the Gold Coast & across S.E. Queensland plus the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

Welcome to the GC contingent Brennan. I'm down at Burleigh and like making the odd bit of furniture. The rest of the time I seem to be renovating something or other.
Cheers, Franklin

Welcome to the forum.
That's quite a busy lifestyle you have. As with anything on the internet it reaches a global audience which I believe is one of the best things about the forum.

Brennan welcome I also in the South East Ipswich area I initially was into wood turning but spread out into metal and other things.
Sshame I didn't see this earlier I was over at Runaway Bay yesterday checking out friends restored vessel (http://awbf.com.au/index.php/2016/10/16/westwind-eighty-shes-back/) as he passes through to Tassie being a boat builder thought you might enjoy the read.
Here she is entering the marina coming up from Sea World end. It should be there again till after Thursday.

Thanks mate. Yes thats a fine looking vessel, and looks like they did a great job on the restoration.
A real labour of love, or ( love of labour ), must have taken a few hours.
Hope they have good weather for their trip to Tassie.
