I've just gutted the inside of my upstairs extension (1993 era) which is clad in 230mm hardieplank.

The walls had plenty of insulation but surprisingly the entire north facing wall has no sisalation fitted.
The west facing gable wall does have sisalation (the attached picture shows the corner).

Is there any benefit to fitting sisalation into the gaps between studs while I have the walls open?

It would be easy enough to fit by folding it into the gaps (up against the hardieplank) and stapling it to the sides of the studs.

Thoughts?
