Hello,
Been lurking around this forum and the Metal Work forums for a few years picking excellent advice along the way. Started work life as a Fitter and Turner then moved to teaching Industrial Technology (Manual Arts) where I gained a liking for woodworking.

Reason for the introduction is that I need to ask a question but do not know which of the general posts to look in. I looked in a few posts, maybe I should use the search option.

I am, after a few serious cancer operations, starting to do some more woodworking. I have started to build a book scanner and need to find out where I can buy, other than USA or China, a set of computer tray slides to hold the sliding book platen.

Any advice will be gladly accepted

cheers

Don

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Don".
There are a stack of members in Brisbane & S.E. Queensland plus the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

PS - may I suggest that you do post a new thread in the general subsection of the forum to gain a wider audience and thus more answers.

Also the Malaney & Brisbane woodworking shows are on soon.....

Welcome to the forum.

That's an interesting question in regards to a book scanner. As it has been suggested post a question in the General sub-forum. http://www.woodworkforums.com/f11
