Well the peltophorum tree was cut down and chipped yesterday!
While I was glad to see it go for all the right reasons it was a pity in that such a tree was just in the wrong place.
There is now a "hole" in the outlook from our place but a different tree that grew behind the peltophorum will now
get a chance to thrive.
I kept a few short lengths of trunk just to see how they might turn out.
Could not keep the chips a the truck was unable to reverse under the eaves and downpipe to the back of the block.
I will give Ivan a ring when I get back from NZ and see if I can go and collect a couple of metres for myself.
