Not receiving email notifications

I've posted in a couple of threads recently and I am not receiving email notifications of replies. I have checked that my email address is correct and that notifications is turned of and all appears to be correct. Anyone else having this issue?

GJ, if you have notifications turned OFF you obviously won't get notifications.

I'm not that stupid to think I would receive notifications if I had them turned OF.

Read through the thread and I haven't changed my email address and nothing in my junk folder.
The last notification I received was from you Fred on the 29/10/2015 at 9:31AM regarding the "bloody hypocrites" thread.

Fred, I did not get an email update to http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=200143&page=2 after FF's reply.

I seem to remember this might have happened a few times before and I never bothered following it up.

I haven't been getting email notifications of PM's. I guess this is the issue you are talking about? This has only been happening over the past few weeks.

I have put in a request for Steven to have a look at this problem.

Aldav yours should be working now as I have enabled the "Instant email notification" section in your registration which was switched off, also fixed a few other things that were switched off.

Is it only subscribed thread notifications you aren't getting or PM notifications as well?

Your email provider... eg: hotmail, gmail, bigpond, etc
Has there been a recent upgrade to your computer or programs, etc. Auto or manual.

Anything else you think may be relevant - Including change of email address.


Answer as many of the above as you can and that information might help us to track down the problem.

It is a total blackout now.

I seem to recall it might have started in a random fashion some weeks ago.

I can't comment on PM's as I get so few of them

The problem is certainly not universal as I am getting email notifications as per usual.

Just my luck, stuff always happens to me, I can't think of any changes or reasons it might be happening at my end. I am using Win 7 with Thunderbird for email. As always, thanks.

I just checked my inbox on the Bigpond server and it is not holding any unread messages so Thunderbird has collected all available so no joy there.

Has there been a recent upgrade to your computer or programs, etc. Auto or manual. -- around end of October installed Norton 360 and there was a large Auto update around the end of October

Anything else you think may be relevant - Including change of email address. -- no change of email address. Running Windows 10 on a HP Spectre 360. Cleared my Cookie cache and browsing history around time of last major upgrade.
Browser -- Google Chrome (could it be the security settings inside Chrome?)

WWF has been listed on a spam blacklist by Spamcannibal. Possibly because of past issue with another site on the same server and possibly because we are a forum and send out a reasonable amount of emails per day with updates etc. Could also go back to the server we inherrited when the forums were moved to a bigger faster one a couple of years ago as we found out later that server had previously been blacllisted for spamming and was on a watch list. We do not send out spam or any unrequested emails. Delisting has been requested. No idea how long this may take.

Steven is also working on a fix for problem with the mail server

Bigpond is showing: Connection refused. 209.95.48.51 has a poor reputation on the Cloudmark Sender Intelligence (CSI) list. So we probably still have issues delivering to Microsoft owned services like hotmail, outlook, any company running exchange, etc..

All I can tell you for now. More when it all gets sorted.

You can actually, go to settings, then to general settings ( http://www.woodworkforums.com/profile.php?do=editoptions ) and you'll see about half a dozen options related to notifications there.
