Bunnies in their infinite wisdom are now allowing dogs into their stores, also they've relaxed their barefoot policy. You can now bring your dog in and walk around barefoot, just waiting for the first barefoot person to step in some dog poop. This is one red shirt guy who won't be cleaning up any mess left by peoples dogs.
Gotta love the last comment :D.

I often shop at the warehouse style pet sores and my dog comes in with me and gets lots of pats and treats from the staff. My main reason for taking him in is to use the electronic scales to weigh him.
I understand that a pet store is different from the green shed but he has never lifted his leg on anything in a store ever, and he has still got his heuvos enact. To think that every dog that comes in is going to and poop on everything is ignorant. However I see no need to take him into bunnings.
I would think the barefoot policy is way more likely to be a litigation issues when someone drops a chisel or such on their foot or someone else's etc.

I can't fathom why they feel the need to do this, esp the bare feet thing.

Either Bunnings or Wesfarmers management are so scared to say no to customers (and maybe lose them to Masters) that they are willing to bow to any demand.
The times I worked as door greeter and told people they couldn't come in with bare feet always resulted in off customers wanting to complain to management. One time I tried to stop a guy coming in with a dog and he asked me where it said dogs weren't allowed. I showed him the sign at the door stating only guide dogs and companion were allowed in. He than produced identification showing his dog to be a companion dog. The argument could have been prevented if the dog had the ID on in the first place. He still wanted to report me to management.

Hi,
The customer is always right. So long as he can be separated from his/her money. :U

Sadly, true. The number of times a yelling, screaming badly behaved customer gets their way at the returns desk is unbelievable. It's become so bad that team members don't bother to call a manager and just give a refund, or swap the "faulty" goods over.

I believe that they have already had their fist issue recently, a dog bit a child in the store.
One of those, "It seemed like a good idea at the time ideas" by management making policy on the run.
