Hi hi, my name's Peter, I'm retired, and while I've been doing a fair bit of woodwork over the last 30 years in my spare time, I'm looking to get back in to it a bit more in the near future.

I build mostly solid wood furniture, although I have used mdf as well. Just recently upgraded my past-its-use-by-date Electra Beckup 260 over-and-under to a Carbatech 8" long bed jointer (and boy, do I have a few things to say about that!) and I will be purchasing a new thicknesser in the not too distant future. I also happen to own an 18" Jet bandsaw and an Evanson radial arm saw .. don't care much for table saws (and I still have all my fingers, too!).

Once I manage to sell my farm, I'll be building my dream home (NOT myself, I've put up several buildings in the past but my knees are shot and I'm not going to take on a big project like that) but I'll really be able to go to town on fitting the new place out with some furniture. The new place will have a large wood workshop next to it, b.t.w. - bigger than the 9x6m workshop I'm using now. :U

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "Peter".
There are good few members from The Land of the Long White Cloud and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork..
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, The big island across the ditch, crowie

PS - A bigger shed is always better, hope the farm sell quickly for you....
