Went to Bunnies looking for mini kwik-clamps. Duh, what are they?
Sent SWMBO to do a lap of the hardware stores, most used to have them but don't now.

Edgeworth David Hardware (Thrifty-link) told her they'd see if they could get them. Before she was home, they rang to say they'd have them by next Wednesday.

A simple thing, but they'll get the business.

Hi AlexS,

Yes, it's amazing what a smile, some courtesy, and a willingness to help does to customer relations, isn't it?

Most shop/store staff regard punters as being a nuisance; perhaps they need a little encouragement. The old R.N. had a good way of "encouraging" recalcitrants...http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gif

Cheers!

Go into Bunnings and try asking for a honing guide.
