Last week I placed my first order with LV (other than the Bessey one).
Ordered PM last Thursday, just had it delivered into my hands. :)
It's been said before, but that really is exceptional service IMO.
Well done LV :) :)

MKII honing guide, 2 skew chisels and a leather chisel roll.
The last to provide a home for something a certain Chinese gentleman may be bringing me. :D
I opted for Xpress post 'cause I'm impatient :)

You know you can't sharpen skew chisels in that guide, don't you? ;)
So what are you going to put in the leather chisel roll, huh? Leather chisels?? Don't tell me you're getting some of those exorbitantly expensive and flashy LN chisels?

Jealousy's a curse...
But a bellyache's worse...
:p
Wongo, buy a set of yellow Stanleys and put them in the LN box. Keep the LNs for yourself, Craig wont notice :D

Keep it quiet mate. :D
You know they don’t like people taking sharp objects on to the plane don’t you. If I end up in Guantanamo Bay than it is your fault. :p

Well, OK, technically you can but the angle setting gauge wont work very well. I've heard that there is some new attachment available soon to handle it but I bet there isn't one of them in Craig's box...

Nope. :(
And me with two brand new skew chisels to hone too. :(
Which btw, are made in El Salvador.
Nothing wrong with that I guess but I didn't know they made tools there.
Actually given the price (around $25 for a pair) I'm not surprised. ;)
They look o.k. though. I'll have to see how they perform.

When I was using my new LV LA block the other day, I noticed that the screw for adjusting side to side play was imperfect, the slot was only partially formed. I emailed Lee Valley who replied promptly and are sending a set of new screws by express post.
Once again excellent service and they will have my business again.

Thought I would add my experience with Lee Valley to the others here as a matter of general interest. Ordered various bits & pieces to a value of $330 Oz including Xpress freight last Thursday evening Melbourne time. Door bell rang at around 3:30 pm today Tuesday and there were my goodies! (No customs charges or interference as far as I could tell). Be lucky to get a parcel from Sydney that quick with Aussie post!.
I certainly will be ordering more stuff from them as required!!
Well Done Lee Valley!
Mick. :)
