Hello,
I'm Ryan, a new member from Perth.
I have always liked trying to build things, now I finally have my own place and a shed I can start putting some ideas into action. Have just discovered today that cutting 250x1200 boards to length across two chairs with an old circular saw is very difficult to get somewhat square cuts. :(.
And also that both my Bunnings squares aren't square... Sigh.
Time to make a circular saw guide I think, and invest in a workbench of some description.
Nice to meet you all.
cheers,
Ryan.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Ryan".
There are a good number of members in Perth and surrounding areas.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork....
Cheers crowie
PS _ Have a look in the benches section for ideas upon making one.... also consider a couple of saw horses.....enjoy..:2tsup:

Thanks fellas.
Just picked up a Workcentre and a router and router table, so can get moving.
I was looking for some cheap sawhorses the other day, what's the consensus on the Bunnings ones? Or is it better to pick up some rough timber and make your own?
Cheers,
Ryan.

G'Day Ryan, IMHO the Bunnings ones will do for now until you have the time to make your own or buy a better set...I've had a set for quite a while and though now a little rickety, they are still okay for an extra set. Cheer, crowie
