Hi, I have not noticed it until today, it has been loading one line at a time, at horse and buggy speed and giving me this message "The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. " frequently. Hope it comes right soon. Regards

I read most posts each evening on a recent Win 8.1 machine using Firefox, and do not have a problem. Speed seems comparable to most other sites I visit. Could not say the same for my tired old Win XP machine which I have recently retired. Not computer smart, so can't offer insight into others problems.

Its definitely way too slow...
Its not machine, operating system or platform specific. My Windows PC, mac(s) and phone all have terrible trouble on this forum of late.
Neither is it due to the ISP.
Yesterday, in Sydney I was on Telstra and Optus. Today at work and in Newcastle on different carriers / providers.
Yesterday and today have been terrible, though bizarrely enough, for the last 2 minutes its been fine!!!

I really enjoy and appreciate this forum and check it daily, but I must say it is one of the slower websites and forums I use - and the last couple of days it is basically unusable.I'm not sure where it is hosted (looks to be through a local company Cyanide who claim fast local servers...) or what type of hosting this site runs on, and I know it costs money that isn't coming directly from my pockets but a general boost to the bandwidth for the site would be great :)

I for one think more, better and energetic squirrels are needed.
The 12 squirrel version could be upgraded to 15, or even a more outrageous 20 squirrel system.
20 squirrels could do anything. Nobody needs that much power.

The true test of value for money is not how good the product is, it's how good the support is. Even the best products can fail and it's how the supplier/manufacturer deals with the failure that counts.
:offtopic:
Not so long ago I purchased a Hema 7 Navigator and it failed while I was 4wding on the Royston Range Track near Rubicon. When i contacted Hema in Brisbane they asked me to email a copy of the receipt and after doing that they contacted me and told me to send my unit to them as they were forwarding a new unit to me. The whole thing was sorted in less than 4 hours and I had a new unit 2 days later. No arguments, no excuses, just brilliant service

It all appears to be up and running fine again. Waiting to find out what the problem was but Steven suspects there was a server problem when it was rebooted some time early Sunday. They might let us know what it was but may not want to expose their bottom side to "bottom kickin".
Or as Marj Simpson wood say they don't want to open a can of "whoop tooshy".
Hopefully all will continue on fine now.

Put on a bigger drive wheel got rid of the squirrels and added a couple of Springboks (the animals not the rugby team) if it slows down again we'll chuck in a lion to hurry them up and it that's not enough we'll reboot with a couple of Cheetahs.
If all that fails we'll hook the smaller wheel up to Ferrari and gun it.
