Just a short gday from a total newbie to working with wood. Coming from a metalwork background i decided to expand my knowledge in something I wasnt comfortable working with. I have just completed a short wood turning course and am looking forward to many more years of learning

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "wtiger".
There are quite a few members in the Hunter District [watch out for a get together] and across the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork...
Cheers crowie

The Forum is a great way for obtaining very useful help and guidance. I guess that I would call myself a serious amateur having worked with wood for many years. My main focus now is on quality in woodworking and in particular obtaining a quality end product. I live in a western Maitland suburb and perhaps I can be of some assistance to you. Wood working is a great way to relax and relieve stress.

Hope you enjoy your new interest.
