I'm a woodcarver, age 61, just turning professional Lived in Tasmania most of my life, also Brunswick Heads (hi, Stan!), Lightning Ridge, Kyogle, Tangamballanga, NQ, so appreciate Australia's amazing timbers better than NZ's. Came back to NZ to die, two years back, with a container full of craft wood. Presently desperate to learn more about white polish

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum from the big island across the ditch "Steve", but you already know something of that.
There are a few members from the Land of the Long White Cloud and of course across the world...
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork....
Cheers from The Great Southern Land, crowie
