This a sad day when going to look at a job ends up in the termination of a partnership. They were made for each other and were so helpful for me. It took so long to find this pair and today is the end of an era.

I had a guy want help with installing a range hood. I have helped him with many things over the past several years.

As I entered the property his 10' 300 lb puppy accosted me. Then as I try to walk around him and ignore his playfulness he landed fair and square on my right heel as I was walking away. Limb was torn from sole. My thong was holding at two points only.

To rub salt into the wound, coming back outside after looking at the job the pooch had taken the left thong under the house.

On a burning hot day I had to negotiate across dry grass full of cat heads, road base drive with no shade and melting bitchimum to get back to my car.

RIP my beloved thongs.

Sadly in this town there is no where to by replacement

Sad loss of a partner - but it is replaceable in time.

Understand what you have gone through.
Always go dressed for the job, that is in safety footwear. Give the puppy lots of affection and then it will probably ignore you.
I have had a client with an overweight Labrador, that was too big for the owners to control. It would take stuff out of my tool box.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss mate. Just try to remember the good times you had together.

There's an old saying...

Thongs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

Take care
Danny

Not a member of the thong wearers union. Hate the bloody things!

Unfortunately I have a wounded heel and have been forced into wearing a pair until
it heals!! Think I will stay inside barefooted until that happens.:C:C

The job ahead is to 'break in' a new pair. It takes a while to get them to fit 'just right'.

I think we should get over the grieving period first
Before considering a new relationship

I have to agree with Simplicity here. Rushing headfirst into a new relationship may seem like a good way to deal with the grief, but not allowing time to first come to terms with your loss can lead to unresolved thong issues and threaten the very thing you are trying to use to dull the pain - the new thong.

Besides it takes time to find a shop that will sell you just one thong.

Point taken, it is hard to find one a pair that works for me. I should do some serious sole searching before I rush into this one.

I prefer sandals and now crocs.
Nothing gets my missus going like fronting up with socks and sandals.:D
You can't do that with thongs.
