Me too. It's very sad and quite frankly gets me pretty annoyed at these low life mongrels who could do this sort of thing. By the look of the bus, there won't be any survivors on that.

I can only speak for myself, but I am so sadened by tonight's news.
I would reckon that everyone on this board feels the same way.
I only hope that none of your loved ones were caught up in this despicable act.

If the bastards want to hurt the politicians why bomb trains and busses???????
It sucks how the innocent are the ones to suffer every #@$%^ time.

It's a sad day.... who'd have thought that Buddhist authorities would ever have to allow their school teachers to carry weapons to protect themselves from ratbag militants & now this, on the same day. :(

If you are pommy, my heart goes out to you. If you still live in the old dart, you can double that. There is nothing you have done to deserve this sort of outrage but if warm, supportive thoughts can help, you have mine.

Great.
Just hoping that as few as possible have been maimed or killed, but fearing that too many have been.
Best wishes to anyone there, and to anyone with family and friends there. Really hoping we don't know anyone there right now either.
BTW, what is so 'bad' about taking revenge on these sick creatures?

As an ex-Londoner I have to say that it's been tried before by more efficient people than the present breed of terrorists. During the war my mother would go home from working in a factory, have dinner and then go to the shelter for the night. and listen to the bombs falling. A V2 rocket killed a lot of people in her neighbourhood and she would have been one of them if the blast hadn't been deflected by a railway embankment.
But even while all the bombs were falling, peole got on with their lives.
If these terrorists think they are going to hurt London they are out of their tiny minds.
My daughter was a couple of months pregnant when she was due to go into Manhattan on 9/11. Thankfully she didn't and had to watch on TV when the buildings fell.
I was there few months after the attack and there were a lot of pee'd off people but everyone was back to normal. London won't be any different.
Now, maybe, for some people, this puts life in Australia in some kind of perspective.

Unfortunately morning has only brought worse (but not unexpected) news re fatalities and injuries.
What a sickening/depraved event. Just brings back the bad memories I have of living in Northern Ireland in the 70's and 80's. I saw quite enough then, saw the foolishness of it then and don't want to see any more.
I trust no-one we know has been affected and feel for those who have been affected.

We have a friend who is living in London and working as a nurse. We can't get her on the phone but have to assume that she's up to her eyeballs in casualty patients. Go Maree!!

My receptionist here at work has a son teaching in London. He caught that bus to work. It was on it's return trip when it blew up :( That's frightening.

I've spoken to my family, My Dad, Sister, Brother In-law, an Aunt and several cousins all work in the city and all are fine thank goodness. Took a while to get through to them last night but it was a big relief when we did.
I hope the police are raiding every suspected terrorist location in the country today and beating the truth out of the bastards for this cowardly and sick act.
Londoners have lived with this kind of thing for a long time with WWII as talked about before and the scum in the IRA when they were regulalrly maming and killing innocent people in London. They'll bounce back but they won't forget.

MY lot all ok ,Jodie had caught an early train and was at the airport going to Ireland
Sally had finished a course at Russell Square the day before and Jim was on another station waiting for a train that never came.
I am relieved but still saddened by the thought where next and how long before you do lose someone to these extremists. I am yet to see how hurting innocents who have nothing at all to do with their grievances can gain them anything except loathing and disgust from any clear thinking person. But the worst to me is main stream of people of the same religion attempting to justify these actions.
<O:p</O:p
Our main focus must therefore be not only to not give into terror but to speak out when any justification is attempted for this scum who use terror or brainwashed suicide assassins to their own ends. <O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
To any who have lost someone in this senselessness then you have my heart felt condolences and for those who like me have had loved ones come through unscathed you share my joy and relief.

I don't, let the police do what they do best in this situation and let the SAS raid every suspected etc etc.........
I think they would be far more proficient in dealing 'fairly' with them.
