Hi all. I'm Gleno, and somehow found my way here while researching Bull Oak. I've got a heavily forested property in the Surat Basin that I've been slowly getting tidied up over the last few years, primarily selling firewood, specifically Iron bark. I've managed to reach some of the better forested areas and there is a fair amount of Bull Oak to be cleared out. Not sure though if there is a dead set market for the wood workers, or at what stage of growth, diameter, etc, is preferred. Most that needs to be cleared out though is seasoned, some still standing others fallen.

I generally travel between Ipswich and Tara on a fortnightly basis so if someone is keen to look into the Bull Oak as a dedicated market for wood working rather than me flogging it off as firewood I'd be more than interested if someone wanted to come out for an inspection some time.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Gleno".
There are a stack of members in Brisbane and across S.E. Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork...
Cheers crowie

PS - May I suggest that you post a couple of new threads about the Bull Oak in Timber, Timber Milling and General Woodwork as you'll gain a much wider audience....hate to see good timber used for just firewood.....I hope a few blokes take up your offer, too far for me..
