I couldn't decide whether to go to Adelaide or Perth for vacation,
so I called the airlines to get prices. "Airfare to Adelaide is $300,
the cheery salesperson replied.
"And what about Perth?"
"We have a really great rate to Perth, $99," she said. "But there is
a stopover."
"Where?"
"In Adelaide," she said.

Been there done that.
Los Angeles to Dallas was about $100 more than to Houston with a stop in Dallas but no change in planes.
I got off in Dallas. Attended to business. I called the airline and said that while I was in Houston I had an emergency in Dallas so I drove in the middle of the night. The reservation agent said, "Likely story." but changed the return reservation. :U
A lot of times Airlines have deals for flights that originate at one of their hubs. I would do the Los Angeles / Dallas / Houston thing getting off in Dallas. Then I would have a Dallas / Los Angeles ticket. The return to Dallas was used on another trip. Eventually I was able to use the return on the Houston leg. (Another "Likely story".)
Those were the days when airline tickets were script and as good as cash.

That one makes Sense, Darwin to Denpasar 1800 km, Darwin to Adelaide 2500 km
I've deals offering Perth to Bali flights + accommodation for a week, cheaper than a Perth to Sydney flight.
This sounds silly until one sees that Perth to Denpasar is 2550 km, Perth to Sydney is 3300 km

Are you saying you have mad inconsiderate drivers?
And are there no Holden wreckers as Holdens don't break and the Ford wreckers are F.O.R.D.? (yeah, you know what I mean)

You mean, near enough isn't good enough. It's only 60 clicks:D Back in my late teens, we would drive 180 kms return, for a steak sandwich.

Doesn't Canberra have a hamburger place? Where I lived, the burger joint closed at 5.30 and that was 10 mile away. Population was 20 except on weekends, it went to 30, and public holidays went to 50:D.

Found on retard's driveways, fix or repair daily, fu**ed on race day, found on rubbish dump - the list goes on.
Seems ther are heaps of acronyms for FORD presumably made up by holden fans, but you never seem to see snappy retorts from the ford fans making acronyms out of HOLDEN. What does that tell you?
