Glass bricks ?

I bought some from Bunnies :) but the instructions are quite vague.....as in non existant :( Has anyone actually put htese in ? I want a single vertical row for natural light..nothing fancy. I was assuming an window opening just like a window lol.....but I may be wrong :(
