Good Morning,

I'm going to install an absorption pit in my backyard. I need to dig around 500mm deep by 500mm wide and 4.5 metres long and another smaller strip around 3 metres long, 200mm wide and 400mm deep. These are just rough dimensions but more importantly I need to hire a Bobcat. I got a quote from my local hire place (Kennard's) and it's going to cost me about $540 to hire it for a day including delivery. I can hire it for half a day but I would only save around $30. Digging it by hand is not an option.

I have a narrow walk way on the side of my house that will fit a 850mm wide narrow bobcat. Alternatively if I move some stuff out of the workshop I can get a much larger one through into my backyard.

Does anyone know of any cheaper hire places around the Windsor/Richmond/Blue Mountains area? or owns one or know of someone could you please let me know.

Cheers,

Andy.

Here is Brisvegas a mini loader/dingo type machine costs about $300.00 a day to hire with standard 400 bucket and a post hole digger. Man, machine and truck is about $80.00 - $90.00 an hour, usually with an hour of travel tacked on.

Cheers

Thanks for the links :2tsup:

I'm following up a local builder who may be able to help but if that falls through atleast I got options.

Cheers,

Andy.
