Hi All,
Couldn't find the correct area within the forum to post this question so I'm hoping here is OK.
I have a quick question, I recently built a new garage which is attached to the exterior brick wall of my house my house. It has 1.5 degree sloping metal tray deck roof with foil sarking laid on top of the battens beneath the sheeting. The rafters are approx 240mm in height and battens approx 40mm thick so to roof cavity area is approx. 300mm in height. The time has come for me to plaster the ceiling inside the garage and I am wondering whether or not I should throw my money towards adding insulation into the ceiling area? Any thoughts if this will be money well spent or will the foil sarking do a good enough job at insulating and keeping out the moisture/ condensation that tin roofs are renowned for?
Thanks in advanced
Cheers,
HR
