Garage t-handle stuck on

Trying to get this garage handle off the shaft as keys have been lost. The handle seemed to slide a little and now it jiggles slightly on the shaft but will not come off so that I can replace the handle.


Tried hitting it and pulling it but it will not give. Appears to be little tabs on the handle that hold the shaft in but not sure.
