Floating ceiling?? is this safe to walk on or not??

I have a ceiling in a café that I need to run a cable from one side to the other in and down a little hole the other side.
up on ladder looking through the man hole the ceiling doesn't seem very strong only being held up by a series of thick wires holding the metal strips by spring clips. the flimsy metal frame is clad with gyprock and has a few aircon vents in it and lights.
can i walk in this ceiling or isn't it strong enough?? looks not strong enough to me.
If i can't walk in there anyone suggest how i can run a cable to the other end 14 metres away to a small 25mm hole nowhere near a man hole or light hole.
