Just a heads-up. VG Auto Paints in Girraween (Sydney) are holding an open day on 7 December. Between 8 and 11 they'll be spraying a car from prep to buffing - targetted apparently towrds DIY types. After that, its a trade oriented open day.
Why would this interest woodworkers? Well the difference between spraying a car and furniture is not really all that great, so if you are struggling along the learning curve of teaching yourself to spray timber products then it might be a good chance to watch the pros at work, ask questions and maybe experiment a bit.
Apparently they'll be spraying acrylic lacquer - they have too because with unprotected people around they cant use anything more toxic.
Standard disclaimer - no relationship with these people and though I'll be hoping for a good day I cant vouch for the quality of the demos.
Cheers
