I love how you get censored without a reason why and by whom. :)

Yes, sometimes posts just disappear making you wonder, did I really do it, and then upon reflection the answer is YES, but it's gone.... Oh well!!

Scott. It may pay to read here: http://www.woodworkforums.com/f90/forum-rules-read-them-33202/

In particular this bit:
The owner, administrators and moderators of this Forums reserve the right to delete any message or members for any or no reason whatsoever.

To fill you and all the other anti censorship types in, the post has not been deleted as yet, just hidden whilst the Mods and Admin discuss whether it should be deleted or not and the ramifications of leaving it there.

In 9 out of10 cases this sort of post causes arguments and a rift in the force and we are deciding whether or not it is worth the grief it will bring.

The post could be deleted, moved to another section or reopened, whatever the outcome, you will be informed.

One of the driving forces behind threads being deleted are members reporting posts.

If it's reported then we act on it especially if it isn't in the best interests of the forums an/or the members. Funny or not, garbage is garbage and whether it's wrapped, in newspaper or Christmas paper it nearly always end up in the rubbish bin where it belongs.

I'm not whinging about having the post deleted, I yanked someone's chain and it worked. :D But, when I've reported garbage in the past (along the same lines as the garbage that I posted), nothing was deleted. Consistency is the key here. And you have to wonder who hides behind a frilly blouse without calling you out first.

. . . . . Consistency is the key here. . . . . .

Consistency may apply in a grouping where there are equal rights, but the long playing participants of these forums will recognise that these forums are neither a democracy nor any sort of "fair and equal" society.
The rules make it quite clear that since posts may be deleted without explanation, consistency has little relevance.

Its almost a benevolent dictatorship & those paying the bills, copping the whingeing, and ducking the lawsuits get to make the call & rightly so. I've reported a post in the past but I had the ..... to tell the guy why I felt it was worthy of reporting and how it infringed my rights.

Rest assured, if it was me you would have been called out. Anyway, Id look silly in a frilly blouse. As for pulling peoples chains, be careful. You never know what may be connected to the other end.
