;) Has any one got a favourite recipe?:p
Phil’s Meatloaf
500g Prime minced beef

500g Sausage meat

One packet French Onion Soup mix

One packet Tomato & Vegetable soup mix or, Spring Vegetable soup mix as an option

One cup rolled oats

One cup Sultana Bran ground fine

Two eggs

Half a cup grated Parmesan cheese.

Healthy slurp of Worchester sauce (my favourite is the Wicked Wives sauce available in Sale)

Slurp of Soy Sauce

Mix all ingredients, line a 1.5 litre loaf tin with bacon and then fill with the meat loaf mix.

Bake at around 190 deg C for approximately 1 hour

Turn out and let any fat drain off

Then the best part Eat it!!

Some variations, I some times mix in half a can of Baked Beans, or Chives, or a slurp of plonk depending on what's in the cupboard or my mood some times I substitute the bacon for sliced tomato or onion, grated apple in the meatloaf mix gives a nice sweet meat loaf.

Basically I use the basic recipe above and if I feel adventurous I try some variations.

The FARTING compitions were good fun. Strange SWMBO won't let me make it or let me eat it now something to do with saving the environment!

The FARTING compitions were good fun.
We had friends who were of Indian Euro persuasion and used to love the curried lentils they put on for us, brother and I would fart like draught horses all night after a feed of that.
I also remember when out 17 year old was 5 we were around their farm and little one was playing with a kid (goat), four hours later she was eating it, never had the heart to tell her
Baqck to recipes, one of my creations, warm asian salad:
2 chook breast fillets cubed and hammered to tenderise
1 Tbs sambal oelek
3 Tbs dark soy
2 tsp sesame oil
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 Tbs dry sherry
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and allow to marinate for an hour

In a wok, stir fry 500g par boiled potatoes in peanut oil and arrange on 4 plates that have been laid out with mesclun, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber and mango slices.
Drain oil from wok and stir fry the chicken until well done, serve on top of potato and salad and sprinkle with fried shallots or sesame seeds.
Nice easy one and goes down well with all the family.
