Inspired by Graham Kennedy, or more to the point Hinch and cohorts.
I personally detest Hinch and his incessant whining and his hypocritic attitude, TV would have to be Ray Martin who only offers his opinions as fact.
The list could go on but those two are at the top for me.
Graham Kennedy I used to enjoy and may he RIP.

I would put John Laws at the top of both lists - cant stand listening to him or watching his ads on telly (I used to use the off button a lot) - Ray Martin is definately a very close second though.

Wouldn't it be easier to list any presenter that is actually knowledgable, reports factually, isn't up themselves and enjoys their job rather than "being them".
Only one comes to mind at the moment, the late Barry Sheen, but there may be others.
Most are just duds, and only the degree of duddedness varies.

Fortunately we're not exposed to Hinch up here.
Top of my list - Eddie Maguire hands down in all categories.
Darryl Somers.
Ray Martin.
Every presenter on one of those Better Homes and Gardens style shows.
Ditto the travel shows.
The yank on the Subway ads.
Someone pass me a paper bag, I'm hyperventilating...

OK, but he's a Yank...James Randi when he's showing the world how Uri Geller bends spoons, Doris Stokes talks to the dead (although she does now), John Edward much the same thing, I love the man, the way he absolutely crucifies them in public and to their faces, gets my vote.

Some of the regional presenters are often poor but on a recent trip to Hobart a local sport broadcaster took the title for me Don't know his name but this bloke only spoke at one pace and one tone standing stony faced while he did the sport. My Sister (who lives there) said he had been on for years & the common belief was that he must have married the owners daughter.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

I didn't watch Gra Gra much & wasn't impressed by what I did see, but what was the point of scumbag Hinch coming out with what the evidence points to being a lie. Even if it is true, what's the point?
Cant stand Ray Martin or Naomi Robson.
Have a listen to her spray about the autocue operator here...
http://smh.com.au/ and do a search for naomi Robson. Warning - contains adult content!

Best sports presenter for mine has been Les Murray by a long shot.
Most non-commercial media presenters seem to be a lot more honourable than their commercial counterparts.
The problem is the mini america syndrome we have in this country. If we want a new TV program or idea, it invariably comes from there. Its true that we also follow the commercial media path that they do.
In Australia, you would hardly know that Europe, Asia or Africa existed. Yet every news story from America seems to make our news bulletins. The only thing that matters to the media is ratings, fullstop.

[QUOTE=boban]Go to Foxtel/austar boban 100 channles of crap but 5-6 with good world sports coverage
Plus SHMBO can watch them through the day and rather than drag you along to go shopping it lets you get on will more important stuff in the shed
The trouble with life is there's no background music.

John Saffran, I like some of his ideas but HE is really annoying. Let him direct and get somebody else in to do the talking.
I can't listen to JJJ since Adam and Will left either!!

Roy & HG, Denton are good.
I find the JJJ team Rosie, miff,Dr Carl... Coma FM etc etc are all good because they're not ratings driven as theres no commercial adverts other than for events for the australian arts and music scene.
JJJ has done more good for australia than all the other radio/tv stations put together.
They are not restricted like other stations so you tend to see all sides of the story, the presenter can say what they want and callers are not edited.
The best thing is how the rip it up all the commercial stations... Coma FM rules
As flea1607 said Jhon Laws, personaly if he was in front of me I'd smack the ********** in the mouth, it would be worth the assault charge.

Roy and HG good? Man, you've got to change the brand of metho you're drinking. :D I don't mind them clogging up a spot on the tele during the evening but I fail to see why they should steal a few hours of Olympic games coverage during the games themselves.
Sorry, definitely NOT a fan.

I'd rather talk about the few I have respect for and admire...Parky, Denton is like a good wine, started off a bit rough and improving with age. I thought Harry Butler was pretty good until I met him once in real life.
I'm surprised Ernie Sigley hasn't got a mention here. . On Radio the only thing I miss about Sydney (apart from Rockers) is Uncle Doug, he was certainly the best for a long time. Laws and that other twat, whatisname Jones deserve one another.
The so called self regulating media is a joke, just have a look at A Current Affair.
I really miss Dave Allen:D .

There was a one hour show on tele tonight about Graham. Very entertaining and the old goat was still funny out of context. That's got to be a sign that he did it well.

Lets not forget the late great Shurl.
A sad loss to television.
