Legend? Maybe. What he was last night was lucky. The guy who won the game though was Thurston. Without that there would have been no golden point. Two more games to go.
It should've been a draw though.

Down here they don't know what origin is.

it should have been a draw ( ex queenslander )
i agree with Jack.

noddy was not on fire for most of the match, as wasnt barrett. fitzgibbon and hindmarsh had blinders but alas. i think that gasnier should move into the back row; im not a real fan of his in the backs - however his broken field running is outstanding. frigin queenslanders - gotta say they were pumped and looked the goods.
all this from a one eyed roach!

They did in the first half, I'll give you that. The big fellas were getting a bit tired by the middle of the second though. Hagan said as much. He knew that it was skin of the teeth stuff. It's alright to come out firing in the first half but if you can't sustain it all the way until full time a consistent team will win it everytime. Unfortunately that wasn't NSW last night.

Ahh, so you're talking about some sporting contest. Well, I know that in football, the states aren't playing at the moment so it can't be that. And in footbrawl, the states aren't playing, so it must be thugby. And Qld won. Well done chaps. Jolly good show. Pip pip old son. :D

Qld 19 NSW O at half time
20 all at full time last minute second field goal by Qld to draw
Golden point, a very lucky fluke type intersept try by some Qld bloke to finish
Steve Price MOTM I think Though Hindmarsh should have been

I didn't see anyone on the paddock having a bad game, everyone did the job that was asked, many went above and beyond.
I agree Price MOTM, and Hindmarsh close, but Smith was another that played a special game.
All the players should be proud
even the umpiring was above season standard

bring back Andrew Johns. That is all there is to it.
Kennedy was the only thing saving the blues from a whitewash (or maroonwash) in the first half.
And what was the story with Watmough? I'm not sure he even made the field...

, a very lucky fluke type intersept try .
More likely a bad pass then a fluke intercept.
The funny thing about Matty Bowen is that he does these lucky flukey things almost every week.

Just back after the Festival of the Boot (or whatever the boys are calling it this year) followed by a big day up north ... worst thing about being there in person was missing Roy & HG's call.
Best thing was watching all the tossers who thought the world would end if the team they support didn't win.
Like it would if NSW had got up!!!

But Queenslander will do just fine.
Richard,
Matthew Bowen scored the winning points in Wednesday night's State of Origin match. The NSW half-back tried to float a long pass to get around him and failed. Matt Bowen in-ter-sep-ted the pass and scored the points.

I'm thinking that there'd be a lot of people in NSW tonight expecting me to subsidise their headache medication.
Well there are lots of injustices in the world, and we are all entitled to access a fair and equitable medical treatment regime irrespective of age, race or income.
I can't believe this thread has gone on for so long and no one has brought our attention to social injustice!

I feel I should warn you that there are substantial fines and possible criminal charges for committing any act or making any statement that could be viewed by a reasonable person as a terrorist threat. This includes reference to bombs, concealed weapons, or weapons of mass destruction in general.
Where are all these responsible people, anyway.

Where are all these responsible people, anyway.
I think the people responsible are being hunted even as we speak from the mountains of Afghanistan to the back streets of Washington.
It is a relentless pursuit, but the coalition of the Willies won't give up until the US constitution has been amended to replace the "right to bear arms" with the "right to bear-hugs".

Well, I still don’t understand why they dropped Billy Slater. If you have been watching him for the past 2 years then you'll think “Man, I want this guy in my team”.
For whatever cunning plan they had there in Queensland, you’ll think Slater should be part of if. Can someone please tell me why?

Wongo, QLD'S cunning plan was to fold like a deck of cards after 15 minutes of play followed by a last minute try after the portly sheila put on the pointy hat and warmed up witha nice glass of red to lubricate the throat. good to see they stuck to the game plan. very impressive.

That's what I want to know
Actually State of Origin is a South Australian Invention. It has been played between Victoria and SA since the turn of the previous century. Just not now sadly as the clubs are to busy whining about letting their players play somewhere else and not for premiership points.
MMMM did you know that the great South Aussie Essington Lewis kicked the winning goal for SA in about 1920 on the monday that the match was on when he pulled a sicky from BHP.
His boss kicked him big time but Lewis rose to be boss of BHP got Menzies saddled with the name Pig Iron Bob guided Australias industry through WW2 and then the post war reconstruction.
Can't see a legend like that playing League

He probably rose to the top of BHP so he could do something at an international level.
Something which will never happen in AFL :D :D :D
Why is it that whenever footy is mentioned we have to have discussion about the different codes.
We all know the order of greatness for footy is Rugby Union followed by Rugby League and after that, who cares. :D :D :D
