Hi there,
I thought I'd better introduce myself on this thread before I started annoying everyone with a thousand questions in regard to projects. My name is Phil and I am a student and Coffee roaster in Sydney. I have always had a great interest in history and antiquities and have recently started to buy up more and more antique furniture. Of course to get the right price, one has often to take on a little bit of work on a piece, and that is how I found the wealth of helpful information in this forum. With the roasting business soon expanding into a commercial space, I have decided to also use this as a workshop and have taken on a few small projects in the meantime to get some basic skills (very basic) down. I look forward to posting these in the relevant threads and having you all take a look. The first is using some 150 year old Blackbutt joists to make some nice serving boards, and the second is refinishing a 20's - 30's silky oak hall table. I will be sure to get some threads and photo's up in the next few days. I hope you all have a great weekend.
Phil
