Looked around the site a bit, lots of good stuff here.

My primary interest pertains to handsaws in general, but more specifically, filing, restoring and collecting.

Which forum should I visit that is of common interest?

We have a few members from USA on the forum as well as across the rest of the world..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.

crowie - very astute choice of thread :D It was in fact that thread that has dragged Marv over here - he's part of the action on Woodnet regarding the petition.

Now I don't know Marv, but I asked Mark Harrell from BadAxe saws to have a look down the signatories and tell me "who are the people who really know what they are doing with a saw" and he picked out Marv amongst a handful of others. That can only mean one of two things - it's the truth.....or Marv has a shed full of BadAxes, and Mark can be bought :;. I strongly suspect the former.:U

Marv, with your membership here, once you reach ten posts things change, as they realise you not a spammer etc. That's why all your initial posts are held back for scrutiny. IIRC you can only store one PM until then as well.You're name will change from red too.

Somehow, the mods read just about every post that goes on here, but after the event mostly. It's an enormous task, particularly some of my long posts :B.
