G'day all, it only took me 3 years to do my first post.
So a little about me - did my trade as a carpenter & joiner back in the late 80ies. From there I got my builders licence in the early 90ies. Did my apprenticeship with the Master Builders Association in Adelaide, south Australia. I have lived in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and regional Victoria and NSW.
Now I'm really wanting to get into wood turning. The big bit a couple of years ago but I've only been able to do a two week stint and a few 'one off' sessions since. As soon as I have a workshop set up I plan to get into full time woodwork from home so I can watch my 3 young children grow up.
I love renovating and working with old homes - it can be a challenge but one worth the effort. I've tried my hand at many aspects of building work. Being in a small regional town makes getting trades more of a challenge and when doing smaller jobs it is more cost effective at times just to do all you legally can yourself.
