Hello.
My name's Rodney, I'm 47 yrs old and have been dabbling in woodworking for somewhere around the last 20 years. In the last few years I've developed an interest in old woodworking machines. It started as a way to acquire machines I couldn't otherwise afford but has also become a hobby in it's own right. Restoring older equipment has also made it possible for me to own better equipment than I could possibly buy new. My interest in old machines has spilled over into vintage hand tools as well, perhaps an even more dangerous hobby to be involved in.
Lately I've been doing more turning than flat work and have been having a lot of fun with it.
I realized that my state abbreviation, WA for Washington is the same as yours for Western Australia. It shouldn't come up much but I'll try to avoid any confusion resulting from it. I look forward to learning from all of you.
