My name is Wayne, from Paralowie in South Australia, I have always had a keen interest in woodwork and have just now started to acquire some tools to start doing a bit as my main hobby.

I was previously heavily involved in Marine saltwater aquariums but found the ongoing maintenance to great and it also tied me down from going away on holidays.

I bought a 10" Table Saw privately via Gumtree a couple weeks ago (originally purchased from Brisbane Trade Tools 7 years ago but never assembled or used) its a Chinese unit but great value at $650 including a router table extension and fence.

I have since made a Cross Cut sled for it and also a sawdust catchment box which I attach a small vacuum to it.

I plan to make some Bird Houses and Feeders initially along with some other jigs and shop things.

I have a fair bit of reading to do on here with so many sub forums, so I will browse away and aks if I can't find what I am looking for.

Welcome to the forum.

Getting into any discussion on this forum might also take just as much time as the aquariums did.
