Fellow woodworkers, I would like to know if you have any practical experience with this device...

http://203.89.231.185/index.cfm?ppage=products&pparentcategory_uuid=FBA79397-8AF3-45D8-810760DC81B44609&pproduct_uuid=07808CBC-77E2-4749-ABB6EA7A95563B38

I have a compound Mitresaw, and I am getting a little sick of moving the bugger around when I need to do some cutting. This little sucker looks alright to me, and it claims to be able to handle a "Wide Selection" of Mitresaws. It seems sturdy enough, but would value your input prior to parting with the readies.

Now, I know it's a GMC and all that, but if I could afford a complete shed and workshop etc etc, I wouldn't be asking. If anyone out there in WW land has got one i'd love to hear about it.

Many thanks, and have a great weekend.

It has plastic knobs that look destined to fail. It is also a poor copy of Delta's idea (which is, of course, a lot more expensive).

If you go to this site you will find pictures of one that I made myself. Its portable and the wings fold down, made for little cost of metal and ply. A great gadget. Its the same height as a table saw I made as well as a triton router table so it is extra handy with long or wide stock. When you view the pics if you click on the pic itself it will be full screen size.

I've got a review of the Ozito model clone here:

Not a bad stand for the price, and quite portable. Will fit just about any mitre saw too. $159 at Bunnies last time I was there.
