Hey guys,
Am doing my major yr 12 project and i am recycling some redgum timber. i have dreesed this timber all-round and will join it to make the top of a T.V cabient. i was just wondering as i have heard from a few different blokes that red gum can react with certain finishes due to its chemical composition. Was just wondering if anyone can clear this up for me and tell me whether it is right.
Also was wondering what a good finish is for a T.V cabient (using tasmanian oak veener for the rest of the job so the finish has to match it as well). Would like to keep the naturals colours.
Thanks for all the help
Jack
