Those wedge fillets should be easy to make if you have a suitable table saw or perhaps even a band saw.
One fence rail should be able to be cut down to make two wedge fillets.

I don't thought that's the problem. Nor do I want to pay a fortune for them. If any one could cut me some I would pay. Even if its 1m lenghts for auspost it will do.

I am in Vic rather than Qld, so this might be irrelevant in your jurestiction, and is not a solution suggested in the report you linked to, but down here it is common to clad the rail side of the fence with palings installed flush rather than overlapping for better coverage. This removes climbing access to the rails and meets the objectives of the regulations. You would need to check with the inspector whether this would be a suitable alternative. It would avoid having to get the wedges to follow any curvature in the rails, and palings are easier to obtain than the timber wedge section.

Thanks but that's plan b.

picket method will cost 200 surely 10m of this wedge will be <$50 only one rail needs it so 10m worth would do it.

How ever I'm getting rid of pool soon and think double pailings would look ugly.

I'm applying for an exception cause I'm going to fill it in new rules don't come into effect till 2015 but they are being douches

Hi Gros,
I can cut something like what you want, if I understand correctly the angle piece sits on top of the top rail to stop little people from getting a grip, if you message me back here via a pm with a few more details, size, ph. etc. we can go from there.

What did they charge you for the inspection?

How long do you have to rectify the "faults"?

How much to re-inspect after the rectification?

My reason for asking is that I have heard conflicting amounts and times quoted for the above.

Save yourself the anger re the "nanny state" or the fact that you are being made responsible for other people's kids especially when you see what the rest of the world has with regards pool fence legislation. Unfortunately you have to suck it up and wear the costs to comply or fill it in. I'll let you guess what I did.
