G'Day Everyone,
My name is Ben, i am a wood machinist by trade, i did my time making kitchens and doing a little bit of shopfitting,
I love making cupboards / cabinets out of what ever i can find, timber, melamine anything
I have just started getting back into what I really love doing which is wood turning, I am concentrating mostly on Pens and bowls at the moment, but that could change at the drop of a hat,
anyway, I look forwarding to reading through some helpful material on here,
Cheers Ben

I was skim reading your post and read, 'I did my time for a bit of shop lifting'. At about this point I slowed down and read it again.

Welcome aboard. :-)

G'day Ben and welcome to the fun!!:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Lots of good turners down your way. No doubt you will meet some at a GTG in the new year.

Yeah. As a fairly new member to the gold coast wood turners I have met some extremely skillful people. The hardest thing is working out which instruction to take. I guess you need to find the people that share the same style and learn from them. Although learning something completely out of left field could be good as well. Wood turning is such a variable thing I have found. The fundamentals are the samtechnic there are so many different styles and techniques
