Hello everyone, I'm a little bit curious about whether there's any special methods you have to use when using silk velvet to reupholster arm chairs and couches as i've been wanting to give it a shot some time in the future and want to have at least most of my facts straight before i start.
something in the realm of these sorts of styles
Very Beautiful Art Deco set including a Sofa and 2 armchairs (http://www.france-furniture.com/art-deco-gallery/Style-French-Deco-Sofas.htm)

Is there any sort of underlay you have to use? or any particular wadding? and can you just use tacks and staples the same as you would with regular fabrics?
