Over the last few days, every time I try to post a topic or a reply, my computer freezes and gives a "woodworkforums.com is not responding" message. Is anybody else having the same problem??

What browser are you using?
There are known problems with Internet Explorer.
Have you tried Mozilla Firefox Web Browser (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/) or Google Chrome Web Browser (https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/) as these 2 are pretty stable

I am using IE9, and up until a couple of days ago, the problem didn't exist. Sometimes it works first up, other times it might take 3 or 4 attempts to post successfully, and so far I have not been able to identify any pattern to the problem.

Believe me we're all over this and a couple of similar problems, most appear to be linked to IE 8 & 9 and are being reported on forums running vBulletin from places all around the world. There are at least a dozen or so fixes being touted for the problems but to date none of them seem to work. We are taking our own measures but to date none seem to have eradicated the problems.
As a rule there have been no problems with Firefox and most of the problems seemed to start after IE was updated from 8 to 9. Possible that the problem also comes from the users computer as there is only a very small number of people being affected.
Biggest problem is it seems to be intermittent, so it's almost impossible to track down. Steven and I have tried many, many times, with all sorts of operating systems and browsers to replicate the problem but can't.
Trying late tonight with an affected members login to see if I can make it happen. Have tried with a couple of others but to no avail.
The first thing I recommend is to try Firefox as it still seems to be fine or Chrome.
If you would like me to try it your login as well, please email me your password and I'll do some tests in the wee small hours of tomorrow. Very hard to track down problems like this without at least trying the same thing as the user reporting the problem
Hope this is of some help.

Neil, I'm also having similar problems. As you said it seems to be intermittent, which doesn't help the cause.
I'm using EI8 Ver 8.0.7601.17514
Running on Windows 7 64bit Ver. 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601.
I'm not trying to start a Mac Vs. PC debate here, but I'm wondering if any of the Mac users using Safari are having these freeze ups.

I have been having the same problem. I respond to a forum question and try to post to forum and get the same message woodworkforum is not responding only option offered is to recover web site and when you do you loose you responce and have to write it all again which I am afraid on several occasions I couldn't be bothered to do. I am using window's 7 / internet explorer what ever the latest version is. Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards Rod. This post worked first time but not the edit.
