Hi,

I am Ari from Darwin. I am not a furniture maker/carpenter like most of you are, but I do like finishing wooden furniture. Since we live here in Darwin, I have to sand and finish our outdoor furniture very often. Things get very mouldy up here and unfortunately I have to do it more often than I would like :~.
Also, we decided to have a wooden deck for our entertainment area. I love wood and would love to learn more about the care and finish :U.

We have 5 acres outside of Darwin, so the care of wooden furniture is my responsibility, as my husband is busy elsewhere :roll:.

At the moment, I just bought myself a cheap mango wood dining table, which I would strip back and finish all over again. So, I thought I would read this forum before I start to make sure I have the right finish. And because I kept on reading, I thought I should join. Lots of information in this forum. Thank you to all of you.

Regards, Ari :)

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum Ari.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for the most, very willing to assist.
Make sure you should off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers, crowie

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find that most of the members are hobbiest and enjoy working with wood. Then there is the metal work section of this forum and other section.
