Anyone running Linux?

Peter R.

I thought about it, but then decided I'd rather put my nuts in my woodwork vice.

I figured the pain would be roughly similar.

Yes. My main PC dual-boots between Linux and W98.

Most of my superseded PCs are given new leases on life by being Linux-ised.

I first tried it when I upgraded from a 500Mb to 850Mb hard drive, and the PC couldn't see the extra space. I'd just bought the Developers' Collection of 6 CDs for $10 (or whatever it was way back when), and Linux saw the whole drive, and installed itself into the space the PC and Windows refused to acknowledge.

I've tried to go all-Linux a few times, but having to share the PC makes it a bit difficult. Probably 60% Linux ...

Cheers,
Andrew

I've tried linux and will have to agree with you that doing the above would of been easier and less painful.

Why are you asking Peter? Are you having a problem?
Do you mean you are sorry to be back or sorry that you went away?

This is not true. This BB has taken a mind of it's own and now inserts the words 'Pancakes' and 'Foilies' into posts at random intervals.
