These things came with a spray gun. No mention in the manual. Obviously they are filters of some sort - but where do they go ???

They go in the paint feed tube from the paint cup (I presume it is a gravity fed gun).

OK, thanks. Yes, its gravity fed.

I cant find a web diagram showing these, and its not clear by disassembling the gun how they should be fitted.

The gun has a metal paint pot with a brass thread on the bottom. Then theres a stainless connector with two female threads, the side of which faces the gun having a hefty nylon washer. Then the gun has a stainless connector with a male thread. Im thinking it probably just goes into he connector on the gun, with the long knob pointing upward so you can remove it - correct ?

Most people simply don't use them.

I fitted one once......I have em and don't use em.

If you are spraying thick product they cause product flow problems and if you have particles in your product, a filter like that is either going to be no help or it will rapidly clog.

We should all be filtering our product as we put it into the pot to be sprayed.

If you go to an auto refinish store they will happily sell you disposable filters that consist of a paper cone with a fine mesh filter in the botttom.

Can't remember the exact price or how many in a box...but like $40 buys a hundred or so.....some places will sell them singly.

otherwise panty hose.
