Since you guys are upside down and all I was wondering if you have the ground on your cars the other way round also. Is the ground on a car pos or neg for you folks.

No we're not, you are, just that most people view north as up when it should be south.
Only the Poms use +earth and a few Fiats I've seen.
Most of our cars, and Holden and Ford who think they are cars( :D ) run a -earth.

Why? Are you going to bring your car with you ?

Like Iain said, earth is negative.

Mat,

We have this thing called gravity down here too, so the ground is right under the tyres, just like at your place!

Any truth in the rumour that in Jan 2006 the poms are changing to driving on the right hand side of the road. Trucks start on 1st and cars etc three days later!

Load of bollocks!! your getting us confused with Europe Jackoh which of course used to be owned by us but we got rid of it years ago as none of them could speak properly. Any way if and when we do decide to let them back theyll have to drive properly, none of this **** to tit nonsense. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/auto/car-smiley-003.gif http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/auto/car-smiley-003.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon10.gif

Is it raining in the U.K? It's pixxing down here in Godzown and 12 c when it should be fine and about 25!
Us Aussies always drive faster when the roads are nice and wet and greasy, and our cars often end up upside down, probably something to do with gravity being the opposite way round leading to less traction, or we drive on the right(left) side of the road and should drive on the wrong(lright)'cause water goes down the plug'ole in a clockwise, or is it anti-clockwise direction.... I wish I had'nt started this, I'm outta here.and it's still bloody raining. :(

No but I have some nice car stereo equipment I'd be bringing. Used electroncs up here are hard to sell for a worth while price. I'm sure what ever I buy down under wont have as good a stereo as I have now

But since, in my minds eye, i'm viewing you upside down, you are(!) driving on the right side. I'm a bit worried how it will feel driving upside down. Do you get dizzy?:D

At least we drive on the right left hand side of the road down under!

Saw a doco recently, apparently the yanks only started to drive on the right hand side of the road to be different,(independence and all that) then the French followed the idiots because the were not friends with the Brits.
But the horse draw vehicle that the car was created from still has a "near side" (left) and an off side (right). which means the Lady passenger doesn't get out on the safe side in US, they have to dodge the traffic , more interesting I guess.

I thought it was to do with mounting a horse from the left side, just watch the yippee's, although what you say stems from the same idea.
