Which wax over Danish Oil on dining table?

Hi,
I have a dining table made from redgum which has had 4 coats of danish oil and i have now tried various wax's to finish it with and to get a nice sheen, how ever i cannot seem to get a nice even, smudge free finish with any of them. I have tried Feast Watson carnuaba wax, Gilly Stephensons Cabinet Makers wax( which seemed to work the best) and a Bunnings liquid Bees wax. Can anyone highly recommend a wax and some tried and true methods of application?

How long did you wait after apply the Danish Oil before applying the wax? I think that you will proably need to wait at least a few weeks for it to thoroughly dry before applying any wax.

As Gumby has pointed you in the right direction, maybe you should try some of Ubeauts stuff, it actauly works.

Gilly Stephensons Cabinet Makers wax, stays sticky

Bees wax. Dont bother, it never drys hard, always stays .....well, like bees wax.

You could try danish wax, it must surely be compatable with the oil.

I've used Gilly Stephenson's on wood turnings to good effect but it needs to be thoroughly buffed - eg, with a flannel rag or rotary lambswool buff.

And it must go on thin, otherwise you get hard streaky build up.
