It has just been reported that there was a security scare at the New South Wales team's final preparation for the State Of Origin opening game at Etihad Stadium this afternoon. Security was alerted when one of the New South Wales players found a suspicious white powder on the field.
Police and military anti-terrorist experts were called in, but the area was eventually declared safe after it was determined that the white powder was in fact the try line and it was considered to be very unlikely that any of the New South Wales players would ever get that close to it again once the actual game had started.
