i finally found my way to the section for My Stuff and proceeded to add a couple of links/shortcuts to the forum sections that i read instead of having to click multiple times to get there..

anyway i stuffed up and included the http (which your not meant to do) on a few and others i didnt take the care to spell the title properly, so naturally i made another link without http and others that i spelt correctly...now i have a list of dead or unwanted links under My Stuff which i cant get rid of, there is a delete button to the right of them where you make them but pressing the button doesn't delete them, even though it goes to a message that says it has been deleted!

is the button broken? :)

or am i doing something wrong?

cheers

G'day Chippy

Can't help with My Stuff, but the easiest way to set up your links is to bookmark them in your browser - one click and you're there.

No chippy, you're not doing anything wrong, you have found one of the "undocumented features" of vBulletin.

I have the same problem, you can "delete" by setting the Display Order to 0 (zero), doesn't delete it from the list but it no longer displays.

Other than that My Stuff is quite handy, certainly easier and quicker than a bookmark.

using bookmarks is probably a good idea but the mess i have thats for a bookmarks folder is a disaster lol, easier for me to bring up google and find what i want than searching through my bookmarks :U

thanks, Big Shed, that solved it :2tsup:

it is easy just having the link on the side in my stuff, whilst your in the forum its easy to just move to the left and click to change pages

Can you help me out with how to get to the section where you can add items to My Stuff and how it is done.

Treecycle, go up to the top left corner of screen, in white you find 'User CP', in small writing, press that, then go to the left column, go down to the very last one, in white again, is MY STUFF, press that, then you will find a box to paste the URL of the page you want to use as a link in, paste it in but remove the beginning http; // bit, just keep the url from www onwards, in the first box place a number for the order of appearance, in the other box to the right, write what you want to call it, press submit...presto you have a quick link

hope that helps
