Good Morning All
Recently, my daughter convinced me to participate in the World's Greatest shave. :2tsup:
I have shaved my hair off once before during a charity raising event whilst on Peacekeeping duties in the Solomons whilst I was in the Navy. During the auction, I halted proceedings and then offered up the beard, then the eyebrows as well!:o
This time, I chose to keep the eyebrows. The beard has been a part of me since I joined the Navy at 16, only shaved off twice (charity shave and Gulf War I).
We raised nearly $1000. The shaveoff occurred at the Port Kennedy Indoor Beach Volleyball centre, where I play 2-3 nights a week.
I just realised these emoticons look like me without beard and hair.:U
A week after the event, I am nearly back to normal. Despite the charitable nature of the event, the kids did not want hanging around their school or talking to the friends, I don't know why.
Cheers
