Had a bit of fun making these and just wanted to share incase someone else might like to have a play with the idea.

The plants are (largest to smallest): Air plant, air plant, baby tears moss, a random cactus cutting.

The air plants are good because they aren't planted as such and can just rest on top of the pebbles. They get their nutrients and moisture from the air and a little watering each week or so.

I'd love to eventually come up with something like the steampunk one near the bottom of this page (http://1800recycling.com/2011/08/planters-recycle-light-bulbs/). I've got some gruesome ideas for a "terrorarium" and a vague idea of something industrial. If I can find some small enough fantasy/animal figurines I'd also like to have a crack at some kind of character scene.

I just grabbed whatever air plants the nursery had that I thought I could squeeze in. It turns out that the one in the big globe should flower into something dead sexy: http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_fullxfull.288991122.jpg I'm quite excited to see that one.

Very nice! :pi:

Seen someone that used model train people. You know the ones that go on the scenery!

BTW, not sure a cactus would like it in a terrarium. They don't want to be wet all the time!
